custom paint correction
Paint correction can
remove and minimize
scratch marks.
The elements, bird droppings, dust and even improper washing techniques lead to the deterioration of your paint’s clean, reflective finish. Even with the most pristinely cared for vehicles, dust, dirt, and other contaminants build up on the paint’s surface acting like sandpaper against the clearcoat. Bulldog Detail specializes in the elimination of surface imperfections such as swirl marks, hologramming, buffer trails, fine scratches, etching, hardwater buildup, and isolated deep scratches which dull, oxidize, and haze the surface overtime.

Paint correction can improve:
5 levels of correction
Levels of Paint Correction
-
Single-Step Polish
Includes a thorough wash, mechanical decontamination, machine polishing with a light abrasive, removing roughly 35% or more of swirl marks and scratches, and the application of a 3-4 month sealant.
-
Two-Step Polish
Includes a thorough wash, mechanical decontamination, machine polishing with a medium and a light abrasive, removing roughly 65% or more of swirlmarks and scratches, and the application of a 6-8 month sealant.
-
Three-Step Correction
Includes a thorough wash, mechanical decontamination, and machine polishing with a heavy, a medium, and a light abrasive, removing roughly 85% ormore of swirl marks and scratches, as well as a 6-8 month sealant. Depending on the quality and thickness of the clear coat, this service may not be available for all vehicles.
-
Paint Touch Up
Level out surface of the clear coat and apply color-matched paint to isolated deep scratches and rock chips. Then, using a thinning agent, smooth the surface of the corrected area until level with the rest of the clear coat. This process is repeated until full touch up is achieved. Touch up spots will blend with the car at a rate of approximately 85% accuracy, drastically minimizing the appearance of imperfections.
-
Sanding
Hand sand areas for safer, deeper scratch and orange peel removal.

Arizona water is hard
Water Spot Removal
Arizona has some of the highest levels of calcium and magnesium bicarbonates in the country. You can expect to experience a range of 7-10.5 grains per gallon depending on your location. These minerals can penetrate and/or bond to your vehicle’s clearcoat and, over time, eat into it causing scarring and pitting on the surface. If not addressed, water will continue to pool in these indentations, repeatedly etching the same spot leading to premature clear coat failure and overall accelerated degradation of your paint
